By Taxi:
From Galeão Airport or the Bus Station:
R$30 from Galeão, R$15 from the Bus Station on the meter, entering Santa Teresa via Rua Paula Matos as far as Largo das Neves and from there following the tram tracks another 30m. Rua Costa Bastos is the first on your left.
From Santos Dumont Airport: R$10-R$15 on the meter, entering Santa Teresa via Rua Cândido Mendes as far as Largo do Guimarães and following the tram line until the last road on the right before Largo das Neves, Rua Costa Bastos.

From both airports you can take the 'Real' bus to the centre, getting off at Avenida Rio Branco then...
From the Centre:
Take the tram (R$0.60) for Paula Matos from the Tram Station beside the Petrobras building on Avenida Chile (Carioca Mêtro is over the road). You can also take the 214 bus (R$2.20) which passes along the Rua da Carioca. Finally, if you are coming by metro you can get off at Gloria and take the van marked 'Santa Teresa' from outside the Itau bank near the metro exit. Bus, tram and van all stop opposite Rua Costa Bastos.
